Hey Ribbons! I know it’s been a while, but I’ve been quite busy and as you know, I prefer to bring you interesting content. I have been posting on my instagram a lot lately though, so if you ever miss me, feel free to follow me there. I briefly touched on the title of this post here, but I’d like to expand on it. I am the type of girl who tends to feel like she could be doing more, achieving more and just generally should be in a ‘better’ place with regards to her career etc. This has always been something I’ve had to deal with personally and it would sometimes get me down and a bit deflated. I spoke to my brothers about it and simply put, they made me realise how far I’ve come. After they mentioned a few of my achievements, I stopped to think and I realised that they were actually right.
As individuals who want to ‘do it all’, we need to get into the habit of pause and reflect. Taking the time to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come and how much we’re actually achieving (that we may not even realise we’re achieving), is very important. Especially in this millennial age, where comparison is at an all time high and everyone seems to be in competition with one another. (Not healthy, but we’ll discuss this topic another day).
I urge you all to pause and reflect. Count your blessings and keep taking steps everyday to grow and get to know you properly. Stop looking at what’s left to be done and be thankful of what has been done. All in all, strive to be better than you were yesterday and give yourself some credit, because you’ve come pretty further than you think.
P.S Please let me know what other things you would like to see on my blog. I’d love to know what you enjoy reading/hearing about e.t.c
