Anyone who knows me knows that I have always loved high waist-ed skinny jeans. I love the way they hold me in all the right places and accentuate my figure. I remember when the Topshop joni jeans launched and everyone wanted a pair (myself included). I have had about three pairs of Joni jeans in my life and I’m buying a new pair next week, because if you are blessed with thighs, the crotch of skinny jeans eventually starts to rip due to friction whilst walking.
All this being said, I am now a baggy jean convert. I don’t know if I’ve been living under a rock, but I definitely missed the train on this one. I saw a blogger wearing these ASOS tapered jeans online and I knew I had to have it! Unfortunately, they were sold out for quite some time, because I wasn’t alone in my pursuit. Fast forward to last week, I finally got my hands on them and I am in love with how breathable they are. They’re still high waisted, (#staysnatchedalways) but there’s enough room to breathe.
Thinking of what to pair the jeans with, I looked through my wardrobe and decided that this satin shirt would be the perfect contrast due to it’s prints. Now this is where the ‘spirit animal’ conversation comes in. I’ve always been a fan of quizzes that give me more insight into myself like finding out if i’m ‘type A or B, my love language, my attachment style and even as far as ‘what queen on Game of Thrones I am. (I am Margaery Tyrell btw).
I took another random quiz to find out my ‘spirit animal’ and it turns out that I’m the tiger. As much as I hate cats, I knew I’d be in the feline family but I thought I’d be a leopard. Now, in the kingdom of spirit animals, the tiger puts a special emphasis on raw feelings and emotions. The tiger spirit animal symbolizes primal instincts, unpredictability and ability to trust yourself.
First of all, do you believe in spirit animals and if so do you know yours? And if you don’t believe in them, is there an animal that you feel drawn to?
