I always say to my friends how we need to explore London a bit more, simply because the city has so much to offer. Although I’m from London, until last August I never actually LIVED in London. Allow me to elaborate.
I went to a boarding school in Hertfordshire, which is just outside London, so I was only able to come back home on some weekends and during half term breaks. When I did come back through the years, between GCSE’s and A-Levels, there was little to no time to explore my city. I then finished from secondary school and decided I wanted something different. Different in the ‘far away’ sense, so I began a 3-year design course at The University of Leeds.
That also left very little room for London exploration, as I only came down from Leeds when I really needed to. Although I am more acquainted with Leeds surroundings than I am with London, since being back at home, all that is changing. I am now able soak in all that this city has to offer and I particularly can’t wait to explore the east end of London. Shooting with the lovely Sarah Kuszelewicz in Hoxton for a day, I saw so many cool looking people, amazing graffiti art and I just generally got a chilled vibe from the area. I’ll be sure to let you know how my exploration goes!
