Runway_Ribbons_TanBlackRunway_Ribbons_BlackRunway_Ribbons_TanRunway_Ribbons_KnitBrown & Black CollageThis past weekend was one of my favourites in a long time. It was a girls weekend in honour of my friend Wonu’s food blog, that she recently launched¬†here. We were all invited to her house from Friday night till mid-day Sunday, and when we arrived at hers on Friday evening, we caught up on the different things that had been happening in each others lives, as well as reminiscing on our Barbados trip that took place back in June.

After all the chatter, we decided we wanted an inexpensive clubbing affair, so we headed straight for Leicester Square and hoped for the best! As we arrived, various club promoters tried to entice us with their deals, but we ended up going with a really nice girl who got us a ¬£5 entry to the club Rise. They played R’n’B/Hip-Hop/Dancehall and Bashment and the atmosphere was great. We just decided to let loose and not really care about anything/anyone.

I love it when we as individuals can be completely free. There’s nothing quite like the feeling.¬†

On Saturday we had the laziest day ever! We woke up at about mid- day and had a wonderful breakfast made by Wonu. If you follow me on instagram, you would have seen the breakfast here. After eating, we had conversations about work, men, tv shows and just general ‘what if’ scenarios. Eventually, we decided it was about time we showered and got dressed just in time for Wonu’s dinner spread, which included Thai chicken curry, coconut rice, lollipop breadcrumb chicken, jollof rice and array of chicken wings. Not only was the spread aesthetically pleasing, but it was absolutely delicious. Don’t forget to check out her blog, especially if you’re a foodie like me.
