‘Smile!’ Says Sonya, as I proceed to awkwardly smile.
I’ve never been big on smiling in pictures and that was because I wore braces for about five years when I was younger. I preferred to smize (smile with your mouth closed and eyes. FYI, Tyra Banks coined that term.) and I did it pretty well if I say so myself. I got so used to smizing that it was my ‘go to’ look when photographs were being taken.
I wish I could share my GCSE school photo with you all, you’d see what I mean. I also used to turn my head slightly to the right. Anyone who knew me then can vouch for this pose. It was ‘The Nengi’ pose.

I suppose as young children we always wanted to look our best and we were either comparing ourselves to others or being compared to others by someone else. The pressures for youngsters are quite a lot I must say. Hang in there kiddos, there’s much more to life and you will honestly all be fine. As a young adult I am more carefree with myself and I don’t have just ‘The Nengi’ pose, I have multiple poses. I genuinely feel as though I can pull off a ‘smize’, a laugh, a grin, a chuckle etc. Just be happy with all that you are and work with your natural beauty and smile more. (Like Sonya always tells me) I honestly believe we are as beautiful as we believe ourselves to be.

Anyway, I hope you can all feel comfortable enough within yourselves to be free. Don’t take everything too seriously, always be kind to people, (even those who may be unkind to you) smile often, laugh often, don’t compare yourselves to others, and ultimately, live your life like it’s golden. (One of my personal mantra’s)

I cannot wait to write about four or five sentences, so that I can call it a night and go to sleep. It is currently 20:36pm (GMT) can you believe it?! So, remember when I mentioned that I got an amazing internship at Moschino? Well I have been rushed off my feet since it begun. I have worked all week including this weekend and for a first proper 9-5 (in my case 9-6), it is taking it’s toll on me.

That said, I have enjoyed every minute of it. From dressing male models, to getting to know different people, from being present at the London Collection Men’s Moschino show earlier today, to meeting Wiz Khlaifa and Jourdan Dunn and so many other celebrities. It has been so.much.fun! Head over to my instagram, to see all that has happened this past week. Unfortunately due to my hectic schedule this week, I wasn’t able to blog as often as I would have liked.

Have a lovely week Ribbons!

I refuse to wear tights until it becomes medically unsafe to do so. Regardless of the colour, tights are an item of clothing that can completely transform a look. Just imagine if I wore black tights with this outfit for instance, the outfit would be given a totally different look. For one, you would not be able to appreciate the spaces between my shoes, where my skin becomes visible. Also, the style of the skirt would be lost, because thick black tights would make everything from my waist down, blend all in one. You see, it’s all in the details! 😉

My friend treated me to lunch yesterday, because she missed my birthday. We went to a restaurant called Cha Cha Moon and I felt that this cute red playsuit, was the best attire for the event. The sun was out and people in London were a lot friendlier than usual. I hope you all have a lovely week ahead!

Go! Go! Power Rangersssss, naw nee naw naw naw. Go! Go! Power Rangers, the mighty morphin power rangersssssss! If you don’t know/can’t hum the sound in which my previous ‘naw nee naw naw naw’ goes, then listen to THIS from 1:04…

The power rangers were a big part of my childhood, and I religiously watched Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which consists of the original cast, until the producers became super extra and put out whatever they liked. Then came ‘Power Rangers Turbo’ Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue’ ‘Power Rangers in Space’ and so on and so fort. (But seriously, what were they doing in space? :/)

Anyway, once I put this outfit together, stepped in front of my full length mirror, who did I see starring back at me? None other than my favourite girl Kimberley a.k.a Pink Ranger. When I was much younger, I used to get into arguments that involved full on tears, with my friend about who got to be pink ranger, little did we know that you can’t actually BE another person, shocker!  We continuously fought, episode after episode and in the end, because she was younger than me, and I had to literally was/had to be the bigger person, I was usually left with Yellow Ranger, who I saw as downgrade to Pink Ranger. -_-

Today, yellow is my favourite colour, so you could say Aisha a.k.a Yellow Ranger has always been in me. And to be perfectly honest, she was also a better fighter than pink ranger. Kimberley just fooled us with her pretty blonde hair and her bubblegum coloured suit.

I wore this outfit to have dinner at Duck & Waffle with my friends and it was an amazing experience. Duck and Waffle is the highest restaurant in the UK, located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower. Take a look at the view from our table here.
